Fall is here, and with Labour Day now behind us, school’s back in session and life is settling back into its routine. There’s plenty to catch up on in this month’s newsletter as we head into the fall market. Our main article looks at getting around Calgary smarter, from the CTrain to car share options, with tips to help your commute run a little easier. We’ve also put together a Fall Home Maintenance Checklist to help you get your home ready before the weather turns, along with this month’s featured neighbourhood and a look at six exterior cladding styles shaping home design right now. If buying, selling, or even just chatting about the market is on your mind, we’re always just a message away. We’d love to hear from you.

Tucked into Calgary’s northwest, Scenic Acres earns its name honestly, with sweeping views of the Bow Valley, the Paskapoo Slopes and the Rocky Mountains visible throughout the community. Development began in 1981, and the neighbourhood has grown into a quiet, established area bordered by Crowchild Trail to the north, Nose Hill Drive to the east and south, and Stoney Trail to the west.Housing here is mostly single-family, with some semi-detached homes, villas and townhouses set on well-treed lots backing onto ravines and green space. Residents get around easily thanks to the Crowfoot LRT station, and daily errands are covered by Crowfoot Crossing, one of Alberta’s largest outdoor shopping centres, home to a major grocery store, restaurants and auto dealers. With schools, parks and pathways throughout, Scenic Acres remains a steady draw for families wanting space and mountain views within reach of downtown.
